Minimum Space Requirements

Sterling Elevators has successfully installed elevators in spaces as small as a 42”x42” shaft, which provided a finished cab size of 30”x39”. However, for most homeowners, we recommend a minimum shaft size of 48”x48”. This allows for a more spacious and comfortable cab interior, making it ideal for long-term convenience and accessibility.
